I have been notified that there will be a ACUSD board meeting tomorrow night (2/27) at the Amador county administration building with the public period beginning at 6:30pm. The admin. building is located at 810 Court Street in Jackson. From what I've been told, there will be three options presented, the 2 previously mentioned are still on the table, but I was told last night that an "option 3" is now being proposed which would consist of NOT implementing any changes at this time. It would seek to create some community groups/committees to brainstorm feasible cost saving options with a decision to be made in the next 6-12 months. I am supporting option 3 in order to allow more time for gathering crucial student and financial data, consult with all county parents, and come up with some options that will not have such a negative effect on so many families.
