ACCF Receives $5K Grant from Bank of America Charitable Foundation

Deborah Bellotti, Vice President Manager of Bank of America, presented Matthew Swanson, Learning Center Coordinator, with a check for $5,000 for student internship stipends for the Career Pathways for Amador County Youth Program operated by the Amador Community College Foundation.  ACCF is partnering with area businesses and agencies to enhance the education of students by providing relevant field experience prior to graduation.  Cooperative Education and internships provide the student with learning experiences that are complementary to the academic foundation presented in courses.  These programs balance classroom theory with practical, hands-on experiences.

“It is our pleasure to accept this grant from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation,” said Matthew Swanson.   We are thrilled by the opportunities this grant offers to our students giving them real world experiences in their chosen career path.”

For more information regarding the ACCF Internship Program, contact Jamie Leigh, Employer Relations and Intern Coordinator, at Amador Learning Center (209) 217-4374.
