El Festival Flamenco: Gala Evening & Benefit Performance for Amador College Connect - Sat July 22

JACKSON, CA - On Saturday July 22, 2017, the exclusive fundraising gala evening, El Festival Flamenco, takes place in the Grand Oak Ballroom of the Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort Hotel showcasing the power, passion and poetry of the soulful art form of Flamenco.

The Amador Community College Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation, invites you to this event supporting Amador College Connect – a student resource college center in Amador County.

The gala evening encompasses a cocktail reception and tapas on the Garden Terrace, followed by an elegant dinner of Spanish cuisine, and a benefit performance. Themed décor and top acts team up to transport you to a night in Old Spain.

Premier auction prize is a 7-day stay on the Spanish Island of Minorca at the Diamond Resorts International Hotel donated by Sharon Lundgren of Volcano Communications Group. Jack Mitchell, Publisher Amador Ledger Dispatch, will Emcee the event.

Keynote Speaker Delaine Eastin will address barriers to access of higher education in rural areas. She has held positions as a California State Assembly Member, State Superintendent of Public Instruction, professor, and businesswoman. She was the first woman to be elected as the California State Superintendent of Public Instruction. Delaine is a candidate for Governor in 2018.

Admission for the full evening of events is $100 per person and includes a cocktail reception with tapas and no-host bar, 4 course dinner, live and silent auctions, and a musically charged event featuring:
Daniel Fríes, one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s premier flamenco and Spanish guitarists, both as an accompanist for flamenco song and dance and as a soloist.
