Join us for a revival of the "Kids in Common" gatherings of years past, as we make new connections between the field of early childhood education and the TK - Kindergarten world. This will be a dinner and discussion for kindergarten and TK teachers, child care providers, and preschool teachers and directors. "FRED" Talks are our very own Foothill Region Educational Discussions centered on the emotional well-being of our families - the foundation of our communities. These monthly talks will feature local experts in a variety of topics: maternal wellness, substance use, generational trauma, veteran families, Tribal TANF, car seat safety, tobacco education, and health & nutrition. November's discussion will be presented by Joni Drake (site manager) and Lisa Martin (regional manager), and will focus on the services provided by the California Tribal TANF. These talks will emphasize early childhood mental health and protective factors to strengthen families. Discussions are designed to be brief so you can "lunch and learn," once a month. Light lunch will be provided. Please RSVP at 257-1092.
